L.A.'s Homeboy Industries gets $1.3M contract

LOS ANGELES The /*L.A. County Board of Supervisors*/ approved it Tuesday.

/*Homeboy Industries*/ will run a pilot program that includes tattoo removal, job development and re-entry services for at-risk youth or gang members who want to change their lives.

The non-profit Homeboy Industries had to lay off 300 employees in May. Its organizers cited lack of funding from public and private sources.
