According to court records, Alaniz has had 10 criminal convictions in Ventura County between 2000 and 2008, mostly for drug offenses.

Man fatally shot in Santa Paula alley
SANTA PAULA, Calif. Police say neighbors heard gun shots after there was some kind of argument in the alley. They're not clear what the fight was about but authorities say the shooting doesn't appear to be gang-related.
