Ore. rescuers save 1,500-lb camel from hole

OREGON CITY, Ore. The call came in on Thursday night in Clackamas County after Moses fell into a sinkhole 6 to 8 feet deep and was possibly injured.

The owners, who have several camels, had tried with no success to get the camel out on their own.

Heavy equipment wasn't an option because of the remote, muddy terrain.

Instead, firefighters had to dig for hours before finally lifting the massive animal out.

Moses was exhausted but OK.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
