Dog in car survives 1,100-ft cliff plunge

CRATER LAKE, Ore. Her owners had stopped to enjoy the view from a scenic overlook and left the dog in the car.

Unfortunately they didn't set the emergency brake. The regular brakes failed, and the car and dog went over a cliff.

During the fall, the dog was thrown from the front seat.

She was not seriously hurt and was able to climb up and back to her owners. The car was totaled.
