Inglewood man arrested for 5-year-old's murder

INGLEWOOD, Calif. Officers and L.A. County Fire Dept. paramedics arrived at 3900 W. Century Blvd. at the Airport Parkview Hotel, an extended-stay residential hotel.

Responders found a 5-year-old girl in the hotel bathroom's bathtub. She was unconscious and not breathing. Paramedics performed CPR on the child and transported her to a local hospital.

The girl was pronounced dead in the emergency room of the hospital.

Inglewood detectives interviewed the male adult who was in the residence with the girl.

The L.A. County Coroner found blunt-force trauma to the girl's head.

The male adult was arrested for murder. Inglewood resident Solomon Walters, 24, was booked at the Inglewood Police Dept. jail.
