The crash happened shortly before noon on Sunday, on eastbound Interstate 10, near Indian Canyon Drive. Investigators say the rear tire of the pickup truck blew out, causing the driver to lose control and slam into the center divider.
Sixteen-month-old Evelyn Giselle Pinto of Phoenix, Ariz., was thrown from the vehicle and killed.
No one else was injured.
