Female robber leaves suspicious device at bank

MONTEREY PARK, LOS ANGELES A woman allegedly entered a Wells Fargo bank branch at Atlantic Blvd. and Floral Dr. in Monterey Park at approximately 2:20 p.m. She said she had a bomb and demanded money from a teller.

Bank employees were about to give the woman money when she panicked and ran out of the bank. She reportedly got on a bus when she was confronted by officers and taken into custody.

She left a bag behind at the bank.

The Sheriff's Dept. Bomb Squad was on scene investigating the package. A robot was implemented to examine the package.

No injuries were reported.
