Family remembers murder victim on wedding day

RIVERSIDE, Calif. Osmanhodzic had reserved the date months earlier, but family members received the wedding invitations the same day she was killed. Her body was discovered in her burnt out home in Valley Village last July by the man she was supposed to marry.

"I should be in Camarillo right now getting ready for a wedding," said Gail Cameron, Osmanhodzic's mother. She sat in the grandmother's living room amid photos and remembrances of Osmanhodzic Friday. Cameron hoped the family could get closure with the apprehension of her daughter's killer, who was sighted last week in canyons above Studio City.

Omar Armando Loera, 34, has been identified by investigators as the main suspect in the murder. They said his DNA was found at the crime scene as well as other evidence that police have not released details about.

"He's just running the streets and he's committed and awful, brutal murder and I know she's in a better place but it's just so hard," said Cameron.

"When the suspect is caught it will be some kind of closure, some kind of peace that we can all have," said Alischa Espinoza, who would have been a bridesmaid in the wedding.

Police asked anyone with information to call the Los Angeles Police Department at 877-LAPD-247 or 877-527-3247.
