They said they found a woman who had been shot in the leg. They then said they noticed a man standing in a nearby window holding a rifle who had apparently barricaded himself inside.
Deputies said when he finally came out about two hours later he was armed with a handgun and they opened fire, killing him. No deputies were hurt in the fire.
