Officials said the 22-year-old victim, Steven Lopez, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said others injured, including some with gunshot or stab wounds, were taken to hospitals or got help on their own.
Officers said a large birthday party was held at the house about 9 p.m. When the party ended, some of the partygoers began arguing, then gunfire erupted.
Police are still investigating the incident.
