'No Ordinary Family' not a 'superhero show'

LOS ANGELES "No Ordinary Family" is filled with action and filled with fun.

"It's pretty grueling I have to say," said actor Michael Chiklas. "I've been tweeting and saying, 'Jumping off a bridge today, you?' I'm going to work and calling my wife and saying 'Honey, I gotta go. I gotta get run over by a car.'"

Stars Michael Chiklas and Julie Benz say there is something here for everyone.

"At its core, this is a family show," said Chiklas. "It is not a superhero show. There is that element of super powers in the show, but that just allows us to paint on a broader pallet."

"I think on television these days you see these types of shows that appeal to just one audience," said Benz. "What they are trying to do with 'No Ordinary Family' is appeal across the board to everybody."

Watch the premiere of "No Ordinary Family" at 8 p.m. Tuesday on ABC.
