Calif. state workers win ruling on 2 holidays

SACRAMENTO, Calif.

The Schwarzenegger administration wanted to eliminate those paid holidays as part of the plan to trim the state budget deficit.

An attorney representing one of the unions says workers will get holiday compensation for time worked on Columbus Day last year and Lincoln's Birthday this year.

The administration is expected to appeal the decision.
