Study: Students studying abroad drink more

SEATTLE, Wash. According to the study, which was in the new issue of Psychology of Addictive Behaviors, students going abroad are likely to increase or even double their normal intake of alcohol.

The amount of drinking varied with the student's destination, with the most drinking happening in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The study followed students from the University of Washington, but researchers say they believe the same pattern holds true for any major college or university in the U.S.
