Children who spend considerable time in front of a TV screen or computer have more psychological problems than those who don't, according to a new study in the Journal of Pediatrics. The study looked at 1,000 children between the ages of 10 and 11, recording their average daily hours watching TV or playing on a computer.

The children also filled out a questionnaire to assess their psychological state.

The report says children who spent two hours a day or more in front of a screen had more problems relating to peers, emotional issues, hyperactivity, and behavior problems than those who did not.
