POKHARA, Nepal Khagendra Thapa Magar turns 18 on Thursday and right now he's the world's shortest teenager.

Once his measurements are taken three times in the span of 10 hours he is expected to overtake Edward Nino Hernandez of Colombia, who measures a relatively towering 27 inches.

Thapa weighs just over 12 pounds, and his parents say he acts like a young child. His family and local doctors don't know why he never grew .

His younger brother is a normal height for a boy of 13.
