2 men sentenced in L.A. gang-related shooting

LOS ANGELES Stone, who was 17 at the time, was driving a car in rival gang territory Aug. 21, 2009, when his passenger, Lawrence Steven Blake, 32, opened fire on two rival gang members.

The gang members were standing in front of a house in the 1100 block of South Acacia Avenue in /*Compton*/. No one was injured.

Stone and Blake pleaded no contest to shooting from a motor vehicle and admitted the gang allegation.

Initially, Stone was charged as a juvenile, but prosecutors re-filed the case after a judge found Stone could be tried as an adult.
