Authorities said the woman initially told officers that the man was shot by a drug dealer, but police later said that she was considered a person of interest in the shooting.
The man was shot in the upper body and is recovering at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Word on his condition was not immediately available.
It was unclear if the woman had been booked for a crime or if officers were just questioning her. Authorities said the man and woman were in their 50s.
