Tweeting while driving is not the cause of the car crash that killed a popular Beverly Hills plastic surgeon. California Highway Patrol investigators found it was an unsafe turn that caused Dr. Frank Ryan to overturn his jeep in August.

Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene. His dog was seriously injured but survived.

Officers had been trying to determine whether Ryan was texting or tweeting at the time of the crash, but found no evidence of that in the investigation.

Ryan performed plastic surgeries on reality star Heidi Montag and other celebrities.
