Huge waves topple Wash. coast home into ocean

WASHAWAY BEACH, Calif. A home on the coast of Washington state collapsed into the ocean after being pounded by huge waves during a powerful storm.

No one was inside when the home collapsed and the family that owns the cabin had already moved out.

The owner said the house was actually a mile back from the beach when he bought it in the 190s.

Washaway Beach is the fastest-eroding area along the U.S. pacific coast.

It's been losing an average of 100 feet per year for a century.
