Barricaded man found dead in house

LOS ANGELES The incident happened at a house on 213th Street near Harvard Boulevard where a neighbor reported hearing a man load a shotgun and fire it in the 1500 block of West 213th Street around 3 a.m.

Police officers surrounded the home and a /*SWAT*/ team was called in around 5 a.m.

Authorities ordered evacuations for several neighboring homes near the standoff location.

The man was reportedly found dead of an apparent self-inflicted wound, according to the LAPD.
