Woman in work-spanking case can collect $1.4M

FRESNO, Calif. Janet Orlando was spanked in front of coworkers at the Anaheim-based Alarm One Inc. where she was a saleswoman.

Company officials said it was a team-building exercise in which employees spanked each other with competitors' yard signs.

Orlando claimed she was embarrassed and emotionally scarred. She won her court case four years ago.

The company appealed, but a /*Fresno*/ judge said the company has to pay Orlando $1.4 million.
