I.E. man rapes, stabs teen who accepted ride

HEMET, Calif. The girl, who lives out of town, was visiting friends and family on Sunday when she said he pulled up at Florida Avenue and Lyon Street and offered the ride. He drove to Valle Vista, attacked her and pushed her out of the truck when she fought back.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, 5 feet 4 inches tall, about 160 pounds and clean shaven with short, slicked back hair.

The victim also said the man spoke English with a thick Spanish accent.

He drove a white 1993 Ford Ranger pickup truck. It may have front-end damage sustained when the driver fled the scene.
