November 1, 2010 12:00:00 AM PDT
A Missouri man and woman wore their costumes and got married on Halloween right before the Kansas City Chiefs football game. There were black and orange cupcakes with little chocolate footballs.

The groom had his face painted orange and black and wore a cape. The bride wore a tiara and drew red and yellow flames around her eyes, the same color as the Chiefs.

The happy couple said some people dream of a white wedding, but they wanted one with a little flare.

"When the Chiefs schedule finally came out, I called her and was like the [Buffalo] Bills are playing on Halloween. We gotta get married that day," said Richard Peterson, the groom.

After tying the knot, the couple said all that was left was a chiefs win.

Kansas City ended up beating Buffalo, making for a perfect wedding gift.
