Candlelight vigil held for 2 hikers in Iran

OAKLAND, Calif. /*Sarah Shourd*/ and friends held a candlelight vigil in Oakland Wednesday night.

Shourd and her fiancé /*Shane Bauer*/ and friend, /*Josh Fattal*/, were detained by Iran after being accused of crossing the Iran-Iraq border illegally in July 2009.

She was freed on bail from a Tehran prison in September. Shourd asked for a compassionate release of the two hikers.

"We're all here to show support for Shane and Josh. They are never alone for one second, and really we're here to show our solidarity with people all over the world that are in prison that shouldn't be," said Shourd.

Bauer and Fattal's trial was set to begin on Saturday, but was postponed because Shourd hasn't been summoned to return to the country to appear in court.
