As much as Galindo wants to give to them, she sees that they give to her as well.
"They teach you things like don't give up [and] always be positive. They're getting something out of it, but I am too," said Galindo.
Her time is well spent and much appreciated.
"She's great with our kids. I really couldn't do a lot of the things we do without volunteers, and she is one of the ones I go to if I need something," Kristin Abbas, volunteer coordinator for Down Syndrome Association of Orange County.
Galindo has been helping the association for more than six years, and sees many reasons to continue.
"I just think, why stop? Why stop helping when there's more kids to reach out to," said Galindo.
