When the man got out, the woman got into the driver's seat and took off.
The man jumped into the bed of the truck and tried to get her to stop, but she sped up and lost control of the truck. Deputies said she then crashed into a building on Fourth Street.
The woman was listed in critical condition on Monday morning. The truck's owner was also injured, but has been released from the hospital.
