L.A. drafts anti-bicyclist harassment law

LOS ANGELES City Council attorneys have begun drafting an ordinance that would make it a civil violation to harass or threaten a bike rider.

It would also let them file for damages.

Currently, bicyclists who are taunted or threatened can't always seek monetary compensation if they aren't physically harmed.

That would change under the new proposal.
