Police have seen the coyote before and assured commuters the coyote's just doing its job -- hunting for mice and rats in the city.
City officials say the animal is actually timid and avoids people while it's cleaning up the city's streets of pests. They say the coyote has been fitted with a tracking collar so they can keep tabs on it.
