Judges: OC adoptive mom can keep girl for now

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif. Stacey Doss of Rancho Santa Margarita has been trying to adopt a 2-year-old girl over the objections of the girl's biological father in Ohio.

Doss was ordered to turn over the girl to Ohio authorities in July, but the Santa Ana-based appellate justices have now delayed that order.

The three-judge panel in Santa Ana ruled Tuesday that the girl can stay with Doss until a full panel can consider arguments about which state should have jurisdiction in the case.
