Aaron Shannon Jr. was shot in the head while he was in the backyard of his family's home in the 1000 block of East 84th Street in South Los Angeles. The boy was showing off his Spider-Man costume when two suspected gang members opened fire during a rival gang dispute in an alley behind his home, police said.
His father and grandfather were also shot, but suffered only minor injuries.
Within a week of the boy's shooting, detectives arrested two suspected gang members. /*Leonard Hall Jr.*/, 21, and /*Marcus Denson*/, 18, are each charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.
Both men were being held in lieu of $4 million bail.
