Anticipation high for 2010 AMAs

LOS ANGELES Crews will be working through the weekend to get everything in perfect harmony for some of the biggest names in music.

Enrique Iglesias is no stranger to the AMAs. He has won five, is nominated for two more this year and he's rehearsing for a show-stopping performance.

"The first time I actually came to the American Music Awards was back in 1998," Iglesias said. "I can't believe it's been 12 years. I performed in 1998 and then again in 2000, or 2001. So it's my third time."

Iglesias joins Rihanna, Katy Perry, the Black Eyed Peas and over a dozen other artists taking the stage Sunday.

There are 18 performers that are going to be performing in three hours," Iglesias said. "You get so many different styles of music. Out of all the award shows I've been to, the AMAs, when I sit in the audience, I actually enjoy them more than the other ones."

Another highly-anticipated performance this year is Usher, who got warm up Thursday night across the street at the Staples Center as part of his OMG Tour.

The AMA action begins at 7 p.m. Sunday with a special edition of On The Red Carpet at the /*American Music Awards*/.
