Officers began chasing the suspect in Long Beach after responding to a call about a burglary at a restaurant near Cherry Avenue and South Street in North Long Beach.
An officer was involved in a solo accident after striking an apartment building near Cherry Avenue and Harding Street. The officer was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect was not hurt.
