The rest of the list will be unveiled during the ABC News special airing Dec. 9 and Dec. 10 ET.
The 2010 list is Walters' 18th roundup of the most buzzworthy.
One hour before the show airs, Walters is also hosting "/*Oprah*/, The Next Chapter," in which she will conduct an in-depth interview with Oprah as the talk show queen readies her new cable network and heads down the home stretch of her daytime show's final season.
"This is an interview about Oprah's life at this turning point," Walters said.
On "The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2010," Walters delves into the lives of those on the list and also takes time to discuss some of her personal life.
