He knew he had a couple of minutes before the train was due so he sprang into action.
"Once I saw him I said 'I can't let him delay the trains because once he gets hit - no more trains.' And I saw he couldn't move and I started running and bolted onto the tracks," said Flores.
Other passengers helped the man and Flores was off to work. He gets just 30 hours of work a week at the market so he makes every minute count.
His employer is still proud to have a subway hero in the market.
