3 in vehicle shot; 5 Fwy briefly closed

Whittier Police reported three people in a vehicle were shot and exited the 5 Fwy. at Marquardt Ave. in Santa Fe Springs.The shooting was reported at 9:46 p.m. by a citizen who witnessed the three victims.

The victims were reportedly not cooperative with police investigators.

It was not known if the three were shot on the freeway or at a different location.

The northbound 5 Fwy. was closed while police investigated.
