Miscarriage may increase risk of heart attack

LOS ANGELES According to a study published in journal "Heart", women who suffer recurrent miscarriages have a greatly increased risk of heart attack later in life.

Researchers found each miscarriage increased heart attack risk by 40 percent. Women who had more than two miscarriages increased their risk more than four-fold.

The study also found that the risk decreased when major heart attack factors such as smoking were included, but the risk was still five times higher than normal.
