"I didn't feel any pain initially. I pulled the phone down, I felt something dripping. I realized that it probably was blood," Embry said.
Embry ended up getting stitches in the hospital, and at this point, his hearing appears to be OK.
Motorola said they're not aware of anything like this having happened before, but they plan on reaching out to Embry as part of their investigation.
