Long Beach infant death examined as homicide

LONG BEACH, Calif. Authorities said the boy's parents called 911 Friday night upon learning of the boy's condition.

Officers responded to the home in the 1300 block of North Redondo Avenue around 9:15 p.m. and found the boy unresponsive.

Officers began CPR which was taken over by paramedics.

According to Coroner's Investigator Joyce Kato, the child was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
