Sunset Beach to become part of HB

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. The annexation was approved on Wednesday by the Orange County Local Agency Formation Commission.

Officials said the move would secure the status quo of the 84-acre beach community. They said that Sunset Beach residents will not see any changes.

Meanwhile one group, Sunset Beach Citizen's Association, is threatening to take legal action against the city and county for not fully studying the impact of the merger.
