Meditation can bring pain under control

MONTREAL, Canada Researchers found people who meditate still feel pain, but they don't think about it as much or feel the pain as intensely.

The act of meditation seemed to reduce sensitivity to pain.

MRI scans of those who meditate showed lower pain responses in certain parts of the brain, suggesting that the Zen approach can impact the perception of pain.

These findings could have a significant impact on the treatment of chronic pain.
