Plane crashes at Chino airport; 1 hurt

CHINO, Calif. /*Federal Aviation Administration*/ spokesman Ian Gregor said the pilot crashed while practicing takeoff and landings at around 12:40 p.m.

One person inside the 1978 Monney M20J aircraft was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The other occupant in the plane was not hurt.

The plane was doing "touch-and-go" maneuvers, where a pilot lands, rolls and takes off again without stopping.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.

FAA records show the plane is registered to Ground Floor Design of Tustin.
