"I wasn't sure at first if it was a bullet or a pellet or a branch," Tiger said.
Despite the area being clearly marked "no hunting," three hunters emerged, apologizing and saying they were shooting at a deer.
"We thought he was joking or something at first, but when we looked at his leg, it was pretty bad," said David Friedman, Tiger's teammate.
Police are investigating the shooting accident.
As for Tiger, he still has a shotgun slug in his leg. He hopes to have it removed next week.
