But then a city bus approaches, and the driver appears to steer right for the snowman. Whether it was intentional or not, the bus flattened the snowman.
A spokesman for the Metro Transit District told an Illinois newspaper that the agency saw the video, and the driver no longer works there.
The incident has sparked online debate over who was really creating a safety problem, the bus driver or the people who put the snowman in the middle of the road.
