UBS dress code dictates socks to fingernails

LOS ANGELES The United Bank of Switzerland is testing out a new 43-page dress code at five of its branches.

It covers the basics, such as looking clean and professional but leaves little else to chance.

Women are told to wear underwear that matches their skin tone, keep hemlines right at the middle of the knee and also wear exactly seven pieces of jewelry so as not to appear too fussy.

Men must trim their fingernails to 1.5 millimeters, wear only lace up shoes and leave their patterned socks at home.

Also, eating garlic or onions is strictly forbidden.
