Mall evacuated after 5K show up for flash mob

ROSEVILLE, Calif. Flash mobs are groups of singers or dancers whose surprise performances in public places are often recorded and posted online.

In this case, 5,000 people showed up. It was all too much for the Westfield Galleria at Roseville to handle.

The floor and foundation started moving and creaking, prompting a mass evacuation.

"People were all up against each other, trying to get down the escalator. You couldn't get to the escalator," said one witness.

"There were people with children, moms with their children who were freaking out, wanting to get out of there. Kind of got a little scary for those people," said another witness.

No injuries were reported.
