1 dead, 3 wounded in Echo Park shooting

ECHO PARK, Calif. Los Angeles police responding to a shot fired called arrived to the area of Sunset Boulevard about 11:45 a.m. Saturday and found Cesar Guerrero Jr., 18, dead at the scene.

Police said another person was in critical condition and two more were taken to a hospital with lesser wounds.

Authorities said there's a strong possibility that the shootings are gang related. They said it may have been a problem within one gang.

Witnesses said they heard gunshots after a white Honda pulled up to a house on Innes Avenue.

Police said the Honda used in the shooting was stolen from Monterrey Park.

Seven people were detained for questioning.

A gun was recovered at the scene.
