The bank robbery suspect that was dubbed "the scanner bandit" has been arrested. Garry Allen Reeder, 47, is accused of pulling off four bank heists in Orange, Torrance, Whittier and Norwalk.

Working on a tip, police found Reeder last Friday in the city of Corona. An officer found him standing near a pay phone on 6th Street and Victoria Avenue.

He was arrested without incident. Reeder was booked at the Orange County Jail and his bail was set at $1 million dollars.

Police dubbed him "the scanner bandit" because surveillance images of the bank robberies appear to show the suspect carrying a police scanner or similar device.
