A 16-year-old male shooting victim was transported from 4401 Florence Ave. to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, according to the L.A. County Fire Dept.
The Bell High student was reportedly shot at Boulevard Burgers, across the street from the high school, at the corner of Florence and Atlantic avenues.
No arrests were made.
The student was treated by firefighters before being transported to the hospital.
Bell Police officers, L.A. County Sheriff's deputies and school officials were on scene investigating the incident.
The student's was shot in the abdomen but was expected to recover.
Bell Police said the teen was shot by someone in a silver pickup truck as he waited to be picked up by his mother.
