6 arrested in OC mobile home park party melee

SANTA ANA, Calif. Video posted on YouTube shows a glimpse of the Saturday night incident. Officers can be seen tossing tables and chairs.

It all started when police responded to a complaint about loud music at a mobile home park on Sullivan Street.

Officers said as they tried to take a man into custody, about 50 party guests surrounded them and tried to pull him away.

Eventually, a total of six people were arrested, including the mobile home owner's 71-year-old mother.

"Those types of things like chairs and tables can be used against officers as weapons. The officers are entitled to move those things out for their own safety as they deal with an unruly crowd," explained Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.

Charges range from assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, rioting and resisting arrest.
