Reusable shopping bags may have too much lead

A new study could make you think twice about grabbing that reusable bag for your groceries.

Reusable shopping bags that are supposed to be good for the environment may contain excessive amounts of lead.

New lab results conducted by the nonprofit Center for Consumer Freedom found a number of retailers, including Safeway and Walgreens, are selling or distributing bags that contain lead at levels higher than 100 parts per million, which is the limit in many states.

The group says CVS is the only store that has recalled its bags following the test results.
